All the posts I have made on Neoquest can now be found in 1 place and in a more comprehensible order and with update.
My Neoquest
I hope it will help those who need helps in getting the Neoquest Trophy.
Right now, only NQ 1 is done.
I will be re-posting NQ 2 later.
First thing you need to do is to select your skills.
Click on the skills that's in red. Once you click it, the "0" will change to 1.
This is how I choose mine:
Every level you gain, you will get 1 Skill Points to spend. I put all the skill points on Life Weapons until this skills reaches level 5. Then I spend the skill points on teh Shock Weapons Catergory until I reach Level 21.
So the skills at Level 21 will look like:
Life Weapon - 5Note: This summary guide is for Normal mode of play. For Evil and Insane, you need to be 2-3 level higher than stated here because the monsters are more deadly.
Field Medic - 1
Life Steal - 1
Shock Weapon - 5
Disable - 5
Fortitude - 5
Shockwave - 5
Chapter 1:
Stay around the Neopia City. No more than 3 steps away from the city unil you reach level 3 or 4. That way, if your XP is low, you can quickly go into the city to Boraxis and heal.
At level 3-4, you can venture slightly further to collect:
Chunk of Metal or Blue Thread (From Fire and Snow Imp)
Small Yellow Gem (from Fire and Snow Imp)
glowing Stone (from Plain Aisha)
Once you have gotten these items, go back to Neopia City and visit Moraxis Dorangis to get either the Cloth Robes or the Energy Shield. It doesn't matter which one you get. No difference.
Once you are at level 5, heal at Boraxis and you are ready to go for an adventure. However, if you are low on glowing stones, fight with Plain Aisha.
Use Sneaking Mode as these monsters give out too little xp, go into the DANK CAVE where you will eventually fight with the first Boss - Xantan.
When you are in the cave, go up to Floor 4. Xantan is there. Make sure you have 5 Standard Healing Potions and 20 Weak Healing Potions and at Level 12 before start fighting with Xantan.
Once you defeated Xantan, take the teleportal behind him and get out of the cave. Go back to Neopia City:
- 1. Talk to Coras Tille. She will make armor for you.
- 2. Talk to Eleus Batrin. He will make a weapon for you. He will also talks about the ruin where you will be going next.
BUT!!!!!! DO NOT LEAVE THIS CAVE UNTIL YOU GOT THE FOLLOWING:
5 Glowing Stones
Pelt of a Cave Lupe
Lodestone
Stretch of Rotted Cloth (for Magic Robe)
A piece of glass (for Mirrored Force Field)
Tiny Stone of Obsidian
Amber Gemstone
Corroded Rod made of Copper
Ring of Xantan (you will get it after you defeated Xantan)
A young friend wanted to play Neoquest and find the guide from some of the experience players a bit too difficult and complicated to understand. I had done a summary of this game before. But I think it's not very clear too. So I decided to redo this again. So here's NQ1 revisited.
The Basic:
1. How do you move?
By clicking at the arrow:
2. How to equip a weapon/armor?
By going to the "View Item" and activating the "Equip" action.
Here at "Your Item" page, you can also see all your inventory.
You can heal yourself by clicking the "use" wherever your potion is.
3. How to heal?
Go to Boraxis in the Neopia City
Talk to him and he will immediately heal you.
4. How to make items?
- By going to the specific person and talk to him.
- Then give him the items.
- And viola, he will give you the items.
- Then go to your item page and equip it.
Like this:

5. Who is at Neopia City?
a. Morax Dorangis (SW)- he makes either the Energy Shields and Cloth Robes.
b. Choras Tillie (SE) - he makes the Mirrored Force Fields and Magic Robes.
c. Lummock Sendent (NE) - He sells some basic magic wands. This is where I get my Spectral Magic Wand - Black Wand.
d. Boraxis the Healer (NW) - He heals you for free.
That's all the basic. You can apply almost all this skills for the rest of the game because you need to collect items to make weapons and armor, equip and unequip, etc etc...
One more thing. The Map. I used the map created by Digifort. They have very good maps there. You need these map to get around. I emailed them to ask if I could post their map here, but I didn't get an answer from thems. It has been months. Actually I emailed them twice. Still no answer. So I don't know if I could post their map here. Most probably not. So go there and get the map. They do have good guides there too. Just a bit too long-winded and instruction not very clear-cut for me. That's why I decided to make a summary. :D
6. How to fight?
Click on "ATTACK". If you think you can't fight the monster, click "Flee".
When you have defeated the monster, click on "Click Here" to see what you can get out of that monster.

If you gain a level after you defeated a monster, you will see something like this:
Click on "Click here to return to the map". You will see the "Spend Skill Points" in red. Click on it and spend your points.
Beginning:
1st Weapon:
Cloth Robes:
* A Blue Thread
* A Small Yellow Gem
* A Glowing Stone
or
Energy Shield:
* A Chunk of Metal
* A Small Yellow Gem
* A Glowing Stone
Collect one set of these items in the Plain of Neopia and then go to Moraxis Dorangis in the Neopia City and get yoru first weapon. You can choose either one because it make no difference.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Dank Cave
And DO NOT LEAVE THE CAVE until you got:
You can either get Mirrored Force Field or Magic Robe. You need to collect the following:
Mirrored Force Field:
* A Piece of Glass
* A Glowign Stone
* A Lodestone
* A Tiny Obsidian
or
Magic Robe:
* A Stretch of Rotted Cloth
* A Pelt of a Cave Lupe
* A Glowing Stone
* A Tiny Obsidian
You also need to collect the items for the Bronze Wand:
* A Tiny Amber Gemstone
* A Rod made of Corroded Copper
* A Glowing Stone
* The Ring of Xantan (you get this when you defeat Xantan)
When you have all these items, you can leave the cave. Then go back to Neopia City and talk to Eleus Batrin who will give you a BRONZE WAND.
Then talk to Coras Tille MAGIC ROBE or Mirrored Force Field.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Jungle Ruins
Collect : (Nature Wand)
* 1 Glowing Stone
* 1 Jungle Pauldrons
* 1 Claw of a Jungle Beast
* 1 Tooth of a Noil
* 1 The Staff of Ni-tas
Go find Denethir at Tower Level 1.
The Nature Wand will heals you with Spirit of Oak for 25 health!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Temple of Roo
Collect either set:
Set A - Dawnshine Generator Shield:
* 1 Spyder Leg (Sand Spyder)
* 1 Spyder Pincer (Dust Spyder)
* 1 Cobrall Fang (Desert Cobrall)
* 1 Skeith Eye (Sand Skeith)
or
Set B - Sorcerous Robe:
* 1 Spyder Blood (Sand Spyder)
* 1 Cobrall Venom (Desert Cobrall)
* 1 Skeith Spit (Sand Skeith)
* 1 Crystallized sand (Desert Zombie)
Once you have collected one of the set, go back to Swamp Edge City and talk to Mokti who will give you the Dawnshine Generator Shield or Sorcerous Robe . The Dawnshine Generator items are easier to collect. It doesn't matter what item you collected. They work the same.
Things you need to collect:
Level 1:
Get a piece of Living Crystal from the Crystal Golem on your way in.
Level 2:
Collect an Emerald from the ghastly enemies.
Level 3:
Get the Clouded Gem by defeating the Archmagus of Roo.
Give the Clouded Gem to Erik who will give you the CORUSCATING GEM!
With the Coruscating Gem, you make your way to Swamp Edge City to talk to Leirobas. Give him:
* 1 Glowing Stone
* 1 Tiny Beryl
* 1 Emerald
And Leirobas will give you Jewels of Power.
With the Jewels of Power, you go back to Erick.
Give him:
* 1 carved oak staff
* 1 Growing Jewel
* 1 Coruscating Gem
And Erick will give you a LIFE STAFF!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. Techo Cave:
Collect:
Energy Absorber:
* Piece of Agate (cave 1),
* Piece of Chrysolite (cave 2), and
* Piece of Serpentine(cave 2)
or
Robe of Protection:
* Drakonid eye (cave 1),
* Drakonid hide (cave 1 & 2), and
* Drakonid Heart (cave 1 & 2)
It is recommended that we get the Energy Absorber because this absorber can convert damage done to you into hit points.
When you exit Cave 4, you have go to Sunny City. There you will meet Gali Yoj. Talk to her. She will clean up your Rusty Medallion (which you got from defeating Rollay Scaleback) into a KELADRIAN MEDALLION. You need this Keladrian Medallion to defeat Faleinn at Kal Panning
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5. Mountain Fortress.
When you enter the mountain fortress, fight the monsters here until you find the Inferno Robe. Equip it and continue to fight them until you find the Evening Sun Energy Shield. This shield will reflect damage back at the enemy.
After you got the weapon, equip it, and head off into the Guardian's area.
Fight the 5 powerful Guardians and get the Moonstone Staff from The Guardian of Life Magic. This can give you 4hp every step you move.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6. Kal Panning
Get the Two Rings from Faleinn by defeating her with the KELADRIAN MEDALLION. You need this ring to enter the Two-Ring Palace.
There is a few questions on how to spend the skills points and what skills to get to help in the quest. This is from my experience.
To begin with, there are 7 points to spend. I start with these skills:
1 Shock Weapons
1 Disable
1 Fortitude
1 Shockwave
1 Life Weapon
1 Field Medic
1 Lifesteal
Level 1-5
Then as I roamed around the plain of neopia and gain points, I will spend the skill points on Life Weapons until it reaches 5. This way, the weak healing potions will heal 15 hp.
Level 6-12
Once my Life Weapons reaches 5, I will spend the rest of the skill points I earned on Shock Magics. That means by Level 12, my skills will look like this:
5 Life Weapons
1 Field Medic
1 Lifesteal
3 Shock Weapons
3 Disable
3 Fortitude
3 Shockwave
Level 13-23
11 skill points to spend. Spent it on Life and Shock Magic so that your skills should look like this:
5 Life Weapons
2 Field Medic
2 Lifesteal
5 Shock Weapons
5 Disable
5 Fortitude
5 Shockwave
Level 24-28
There are 5 points to spend on anything you want. I spent 3 points on Fire Magic and 2 points on Spectral Magic.
1 Fire Weapons
1 Firepower
1 Fire Ball
1 Spectral Weapons
1 Evasion
By Level 28, my skills look like this:
5 Life Weapons
2 Field Medic
2 Lifesteal
5 Shock Weapons
5 Disable
5 Fortitude
5 Shockwave
1 Fire Weapons
1 Firepower
1 Fire Ball
1 Spectral Weapons
1 Evasion
From Level 29 to Level 44, I spent my skill points like the following so that by Level 44, you skill looks like this:
Level 44:
Life Magic:
6 Life Weapons
5 Field Medic
5 Lifesteal
Shock Magic:
6 Shock Weapons
6 Disable
6 Fortitude
6 Shockwave
Fire Magic:
1 Fire Weapons
1 Firepower
1 Fire Ball
Spectral Magic:
3 Spectral Weapons
3 Evasion
3 Absorption
3 Reflex
I spent the last few skill points on Shock Magic. At Level 50 when I am ready to face the big boss, my skills look like this:
Life Magic:
6 Life Weapons
5 Field Medic
5 Lifesteal
Shock Magic:
7 Shock Weapons
6 Disable
6 Fortitude
6Shockwave
Fire Magic:
1 Fire Weapons
1 Firepower
1 Fire Ball
Spectral Magic:
3 Spectral Weapons
3 Evasion
3 Absorption
3 Reflex
Continuing from HERE.
Temple of Roo Level 2
3 things to note on this level:
1. Emerald.
Make sure to collect an Emerald from the ghastly enemies because you will need it to ugrade a weapon later.
2. Ghastly Monsters
On this floor, the name of the enemies will starts with "Ghastly". They can and will drain your life and so be sure to stock up on the potion.
A ghastly guardian was carrying ruby and Strong Healing Potion.
A ghastly guardian was carrying a Greater Healing Potion!
A ghastly guardian was carrying sapphire!
A ghastly guardian was carrying onyx!

A ghastly guard was carrying ruby!
A ghastly guard was carrying emerald!
3. Key to Doors
On this floor, the doors to the rooms are locked. So you have to find the key to get into the door which will hold a key to the next door. There are all together 6 keys that you need to collect.
Enter a room with an open door (Room 1). Hunt and you will get a Copper-Plated Key from a Ghastly Initiate. This key will open the door to another room which will get you Key 2 (Please refer to the map.) Enter that room, and hunt and get a Bronze-plated key which gets you to the next room until you get the last key (key #6) to go the room that Archmagus of Roo is.
Room #1: Open Door

A ghastly initiate shrieks, "My master will avenge me!" as it runs away!
A ghastly initiate was carrying a Strong Healing Potion!
A ghastly initiate was carrying a copper-plated key!
A ghastly initiate was carrying topaz!
You gain 96 experience points for defeating this creature!
Ghastly Initiate gives you a Copper-Plated Key (Key #1) which leads to room 2
Room #2: Need Copper-Plated Key to enter.

A ghastly adept was carrying a Strong Healing Potion!
A ghastly adept was carrying a bronze-plated key!
A ghastly adept was carrying onyx!
You gain 87 experience points for defeating this creature!
Ghastly Adept gives you a Bronze-Plated Key (key #2) - leading to room 3
Room #3: Need Bronze-Plated Key to enter.

A ghastly priest was carrying a Strong Healing Potion!
A ghastly priest was carrying a silver-plated key!
You gain 86 experience points for defeating this creature!
Ghastly Priest gives you a Silver-Plated Key (key #3) - leading to room 4
Room #4: Need Silver-Plated Key to enter.

A ghastly master drains you of 40 health, adding it to itself! --- So be careful.
A ghastly master was carrying a Gold-Plated key!
You gain 98 experience points for defeating this creature!
Room #5: Need Gold-Plated Key to enter.

A ghastly archon was carrying a Platinum-Plated Key!
You gain 93 experience points for defeating this creature!
Room #6: Need Platinum-Plated Key to enter.

A ghastly templar was carrying a Crystalline Key!
You gain 85 experience points for defeating this creature!
Room #7: Archmagus of Roo's Room: Need Crystalline Key to enter.

Then you will see Archie.

Note: Never let your health drop below 85 because he can freeze you 3 rounds and take out 80HP. Keep using your healing potions as you can collect more in the Techo Caves. Always use Absorption whenever you can. Now go fight.

You defeated the Archmagus of Roo!
The Archmagus of Roo slumps back against the wall of his tiny chamber. "I never thought anyone could find all the keys... or get to this place. You are truly powerful to have defeated me. Perhaps... perhaps you can bring peace to this place after all. Seek Erick, in the tunnels above... he went mad when they sealed this place, but he may still have the power to break free... if... if..." The Archmagus trails off, his eyes staring blindly past you, and he stops moving.
The Archmagus of Roo was carrying clouded gem!
You gain 1200 experience points for defeating this creature!
You are awarded a bonus of 1200 NEOPOINTS for defeating the Archmagus of Roo!
Take the teleporter back to the entrance. This is not over yet. Yet. You still need to do a few more thing, like upgrading the weapon. I will use Sneaking Mode to travel because all these monsters are now too weak to give you any experience mode and I don't want to waste time.
1. Go back to Erick to learn about the Clouded Gem that you have just received from Archie. He will clean it up and make it into the Coruscating Gem.

Erick says: "Eh? Who's that? Who's there?"
You say: "Do you recognize this clouded gem?"
Erick says: "I do... I do... it is the Coruscating Gem, but it has been... been damaged. Give it... to me... and I will... cleanse it."
You attempted to give Erick the following items:
* clouded gem
Erick takes the gem from you and passes his hand over it, while muttering something softly. The gem instantly clears, vibrant light shining from its depths and illuminating the cave. "This is the Coruscating Gem," he says hoarsely, and hands it back to you.
Erick gave you the CORUSCATING GEM!
2. With the Coruscating Gem, you make your way to Swamp Edge City to talk to Leirobas.

You say: "What are the Jewels of Power?"
Leirobas says: "Where did you hear that name?!" Leirobas quickly looks around and shuts the door to his house. "Don't ever say that out loud... Jewels of Power... I can't believe it. Who told you about them?"
You say: "A wizard named Erick, in the Temple of Roo."
Leirobas says: "Erick... oh my... he's still alive? Astonishing." Leirobas sits down warily, his sharp eyes focused on you. "Erick was an ancient wizard. Legend has it that he was trapped in the Temple of Roo when it was sealed up... but you probably know nothing of this. Well, you don't need to know. But if Erick thinks you should know about the Jewels of Power..." He pauses, looking at you warily. "I will tell you more about the jewels, but first you need to prove your worthiness. I need a piece of living crystal in order to complete a spell I'm working on; you can chip a piece off of one of those crystalline golems that roam the Temple. Bring it to me and I will tell you more about the Jewels of Power."
You give Leirobas the following items:
* 1 Glowing Stone
* 1 Tiny Beryl
* 1 Emerald
And he will hand you the Jewels of Power.
3. With the Jewels of Power, you go back to Erick.

You attempted to give Erick the following items:
* carved oak staff
* the Growing Jewel
* the Coruscating Gem
Erick looks at you as you hand him the three items. At first he stares at them blankly, but after a moment he seems to remember what they are for. "Ah. Hmm. Yes... I remember now. The staff." He takes a step back, hurls the items into the air, and chants a quick string of words while gesturing wildly. A bolt of lightning jumps from his hand and intersects with the staff, Jewel, and Gem. The bolt passes through the Gem, its power focused into a narrow beam of light; it then collides with the Growing Jewel, turning a deep, tranquil green colour, and strikes the staff, turning the brown wood a deep olive colour. The Jewel immediately vanishes into thin air, while the Gem and the staff clatter to the ground.
Erick bends over and picks up the staff and Gem. "The Jewel... we used, has gone back to its vortex. Its power is drained, for a time. But this staff... this staff holds that power now." Suddenly, with an agility belied by his doddering manner, Erick sweeps the staff through the air, and a great flaming bolt emits from it. In the distance, you hear a thrumming sound that seems to be coming from every direction at once. "I am freed!" Erick shouts. "Once my health is regained, I shall leave this place forever. Thank you kindly for your assistance, sgjhjg. You have done well."
Erick gave you a LIFE STAFF!
Erick gave you back the Coruscating Gem.
This staff can heal 100+HP. Very good weapon, however, when you use it, it will takes about 15-20 turns before you can use it again. Go and Equip it.
I got out of this cave and say bye-bye to Temple of Roo. Off I go Techo Cave, the next adventure.
Continuing from HERE.
Temple of Roo:
Entrance to Temple of ROO.
Use the Map. This place is big and you have to go round and round to get to the ground floor.
Note: The points you have been getting, you should be spending it on Shock Magic.
This is my skills upon arrival to the Temple of ROO:
I will be upgrading the Shock Magic to 6.
This is what you need to do when you enter the cave:
1. Talk to Erick near the entrance.
Erick says: "Eh? Who's that? Who's there?"
You say: "My name is sgjhjg."
Erick says: "Oh... uh... well hello... I'm glad you found me... I don't suppose you'd be willing to help an old wizard, would you?"
You say: "What kind of help?"
Erick says: "Uh... well... ages ago... when this place was... was attacked, in a terrible battle... they put a shield over this place, trapping the inhabitants... we cannot escape... uh... perhaps... perhaps you could find something for me... I could escape if I had it... please... please help..."
You say: "What do you need me to find?"
Erick says: "Need... I need... a carved oaken staff... from the grarrls who roam the plains to the south of the Desert of Roo. And... and a headpiece... one of the Jewels of Power, to... to sit atop the staff... and one last thing. An ancient artifact... the Coruscating Gem... to focus the power and create the final... the final staff. Seek the archmagus here... he has... he has the gem."
You say: "What are the Jewels of Power?"
Erick says: "The Jewels... the Jewels of Power are... are lost to time. But there is one who knows... who can tell you about them. Seek out Leirobas, to the north..."
2. Then go through the floor of Level 1.
Try to get a piece of Living Crystal from the Crystal Golem on your way in. You need this for the next weapon upgrade.
Monsters you will be battling:
All the golems that you have fought before and a few new one:

Sand Golem

Glass Golem

Crystal Golem
He gives out a piece of living crystal
(note: You get a lot of cystal golem's attack as you are leaving level 1 for level 2.)

Cave Scorpion

Giant Cave Lizard

Desert Khonsu

Temple Guardian

Greater Temple Guardian

Temple Sentinel

Temple Watchman

When you reached the end of this level, you see a cave ramp, enter it and you are going into Temple of Roo Level 2, the place where you will find the Big Boss - Archmagus of Roo.
I am working on getting my Silver trophy from NQI. I am currently working on getting the normal level first. Why am I still playing normal level? Because the pet I played the NQ1 to get my bronze trophy was given away when I wanted to get that Blumaroo pet to get the fire AV. I forgot, you have to play with the same pet to continue on to the next level. And so...so... I have to replay normal level again.
So my advise is this:
PLAY NEOQUEST WITH THE PET THAT WILL BE WITH YOU FOR THE REST OF YOUR NEOPET LIFE!
I am also updating my NQ1 post. Those posts were done in the beginning. So I wasn't so detailed. I have add a whole lot of information. And some I had to split into 2 or 3 parts because the post was getting too long.
I am upset with myself. I wanted to continue the NQI after leaving it for so long and hopefully I can get the silver trophy. But search and search I did trying to continue the game and I discovered, I played the normal mode game with a pet that I have given away. Arrgghhhhh!!!!... That means I have to replay this game in the normal mode. Arrgghhhh!!!!
Why didn't I play this with my permanent, main, will never give away pet? Why? Why?
Sigh...
At level 49, I went up the stair and got to Level 2. I have to gather as many superior potion as I can.
Going up to Level 2, I met these monsters:

Palace Groundskeeper

Palace Captain
You can get a Superior healing potion from this captain.

Palace Clerk

Palace Major Domo
You can get the Spirit Healing Potion from him.

Palace Commander
At Level 3, there are no monster except for the Final Boss - Jabhal.
Note: He can self-heal 150hp and stun you for 3 rounds. So use your healing potion.

Doesn't he looks terrifying? 700HP.

Off I go to replay this again to try for the silver trophy. LOL!
