This article How NOT to Win the Altador Cup in The Neopet Magazine Issue 23 is really hilarious. So I thought I will share it with you all since we are all in the Altador Cup mood. This is about Altador Cup 2006 teams.
From Faerieland Fops to Brightvale Cheaters and Everything in Between ...
Playing for the Altador Cup is just about the highest honor that any Neopian can dream of. in such endeavors, teamwork is the key to winning, and ultimate glory is the reward. Getting there, however, is hard - really hard. Even the most elite Yooyuballers can sometimes be taken off their game, and the Altador Cup leaves no room for error. here's a look at what went wrong for some of last year's biggest stars and most talented teams.
Not to point any fingers, but Faerieland has the dubious distinction of scoring the least amount of points in the tournament. Derided as a bunch of fluttery lightweights, the Faerieland team sports an impressive arsenal fo forwards, but leaves the responsibility of stopping the other team's scorers to heartthrob goalkeeper Valtonous Rea.
Unfortunately, he's better known for his shampoo endorsement than stellar tournament play. Demonstrating that appearance isn't everything, there was only so much that a lone Uni could do against Mystery Island's offensive barrage.
Terror Mountain has been called "the worst team a fortune can buy," and that was certainly true during the tournament. It's hard to work as a team when your right forward is never around. Hypochondriac Tico Tems managed to show up for the Cup match, but thanks to a string of obscure medical conditions, it was obvious that he hadn't practiced with the rest of his team more than a handful of times.
T's hardly surprising that the spotted Tuskaninny had no idea which way to jump once the Yooyus started flying.
They were the little team that could, the fierce young upstarts who were destined for a surprise win... but the Cup came and went, and Tyrannia's fans were left still waiting for that surprise. It was a horrible moment of deja vu for Harlis Neyhbol, the goal-keeper who had previously retired from yooyball because he couldn't bring himself to catch the ball anymore.
Though everyone wanted to know what had gone wrong this time, all the fire Grarrl could do was shake his head in bewilderment and apology. Sometimes the spark just isn't there.
Despite being one of the best Yooyuball players in Neopia, Elon "the Black Hole" Hughlis nonetheless managed to sink Maraqua's chance for glory all by himself.
Famous as the forward who never releases a Yooyu except to swish it into the net, the Maraquan Acara learned that Yooyuball has teams for a reason. one player simply can't win the game without help, no matter how skilled he is.
One might think that going up against the shady Haunted Woods team would have given suspected cheater Montecito a friend among the foes, so to speak.
Instead, the denizens of Neopia's darkest corner deliberately focused their attack on the skunk kacheek for the entire game. Whether his reputation was deserved or not remains in question, but evidently the Haunted Woods team wasn't willing to find out, because their rock-solid prison kept him from defending the goal - and kept Brightvale from winning the game.
With the enormous pressure that they face to win the Altador Cup, Yooyuballers are expected to make a few sacrifices for the good of the team. Still, knowing the difference between a small sacrifice and a major injury is crucial to one's health... a lesson poor Yaniq Avaan learned the hard way.
Despite coming to the field with a severe injury that wasn't fully healed, the burly island Yurble ignored the pain and pushed onward, right up until a punishing flurry of goals from the Krawk Islanders brought th goalkeeper to his knees. As a result of this frightful barrage, Avaan wound up leaving the field of play, broken down and exhausted, before time expired. Alas, the mind may be str4ong, but the body has it's limits.
Long written off as lazy, the Darigan Citadel's team barreled through the tournament straight to the finals against the Haunted Woods and found itself suddenly in the spotlight. Perhaps that is what doomed the team and their title hopes. Left Defender Kep Bonnefie has been mute ever since, on the eve of the championship match, a collection of earlier articles that made numerous unflattering comments about her surfaced.
When the team's newfound success prompted reporters to dredge up all those old accusations, Bonnefie's well of unspoken anger was apparently converted into serious aggression. The Darigan Buzz's meltdown in the championship game, which resulted in Bonnefie being ejected due to penalties, has since become the stuff of legend. Too bad she couldn't restrain that temper, or she might have been able to stop a few more goals instead of exploding in a silent tantrum and careening off the field in the last minute of the game.
The pressure to win is always heavy, and that pressure is never worse than at that Altador Cup, the pinnacle o Neopian Yooyuball play. Still, excuses are just that, and as most true Yooyuball champions would agree, the best response to losing is to get right back out there on the field and prepare for next time -- that is, after you've had a chance to calm down of course...

Personally, I feel that they should do an article for the Shenkuu team this year. So far none has been written about this new team. Nothing. And the cup is ending soon. I think Shenkuu has proven that they are a team to be reckoned with. They has defeated every team on the second round of the cup. Draw once against DC. Now that's a record that has to be recognized and accounted for.
While waiting for the next step of the Lost Isle Plot, I decide to share an article from the Neopets, The Official Magazine (Issue #22). {I really hope this will be soon because I will be going on a short holiday soon at the end of the month and I do not want to miss out anything}
How the Logic Puzzle Could be Solved!
On the 6th day of the month of Hiding, Y8 (August 6, 2006), a strange ship was found in the harbour of Krawk Island. Drawn by the ship's offer of exotic goods and an addictive game, those Neopians who first visited the Cyodrake's Gaze could hardly begin to imagine the adventure in which they were about to partake...
The Cyodrake's Gaze mini-plot, which introduced the land of Shenkuu, was a logic puzzle that did not openly call itself one. When the comic/plot had run its course, players were asked to answer the following five questions:
Who pushed Hoban?
Linae
Anshu
Bonju
Kentari
Where on the ship did he fall?
Helm
Starboard railing
Cargo crates
Port railing
Foremast
Aftdeck
When did he fall?
1:00
2:00
3:00
4:00
5:00
6:00
Where is Hoban now?
G19
F6
G14
I22
E3
G10
Do you like Hoban's hat?
Yes
I have forgotten the answer. Does anyone remember?
Here's the solution:
The final question regarding Hoban's hat only had one possible response, so eeryone who participated got at least one right answer! To earn at least the avatar and sidebar, however, players had to correctly choose two or more answer.

The story was told through a series of comics, which can still be seen at HERE.
The first chapter of the plot set the stage for what was to come, explaining what happened fromteh Captain's point of view. The clues would not start appearinguntil Chapter 2, though. In the second installment, the comic focused on Kentari, the Shoyru Weapons Master, and his description of what happened which unveiled these clues:
A couple of hours into the storm, Kentari was securing the forward topsail on the starboard (right) side of the ship. This is the only point when he mentions seeing Hoban.
Hoban spoke with Linae before Kentari. Next, it was Bonju the Blumaroo chef's turn to tell his tale, which gave these clues:
At an unmentioned time, Bonju saw Hoban by the starboard railing.
An hour later (4:00), he saw Hoban fuming by the port (left) railing.
An hour after that, he spoke to Hoban.
Next up was Linae, the Kougra Kou-Jong player. It was no secret that she thought Hoban was bad luck, but did she push him overboard? She offered these clues:
Right before the storm hit, Linae heard Anshu and Hoban arguing.
At the start of the stomr, Hoban was at the Wheel (helm). Anshu was below deck.
Just before the storm ended, Linae and Anshu were below deck.
Linae worked with Hoban on two occasions.
Anshu, the brown Ruki medic who was last to be interviewed, gave these clues:
He confrimed that he had been arguing with Hoban right before the storm struck and that he had gone below deck right when it hit.
An hour after the storm hit, he heard Hoban yelling at an undisclosed character.
Anshu and Bonju saw Hoban again at 5:00. This time he was ont eh aft deck arguing with another unmentioned character.
Other important clues in the story set outsdie the comics were: Captain Tuan mentioning that the stories didn't seems to add up, insinuating that one of the crew members may have been lying or withholding information, and asserting that Hoban's fall was no accident. He also noted that Hoban must have fallen during the storm.
Another clue was Hoban's map room, which contained a red herring map and this grid:

If one numbered the boxes horizontally from left to right, 1 through 25, and vertically A through J, one could match the coordinates to those listed on the guessing page with the Xs.
As the Captain suggested, the key to figuring out where, when, and at whose hand Hoban fell is to retrace Hoban's steps and produce a timeline. using the clues provided, it's possible to deduct that:
Hoban was with Captain Tuan at the wheel (Helm) just as the storm first began.

At three, Hoban was with Kentari by the starboard side. Then, an hour later, Hoban was on the port side, as Bonju said. Since Hoban had spoken with Linae previously to Ketanri and was with the Captain prior to that, the conclusion can be reached that he was with Linae at two o'clock. This is the argument that Anshu heard an hour after the storm hit. This was also the first of two tiems that Linae worked with him.
At five o'clock , Hoban was on the aft deck arguing with someone. it was neither Bonju nor Anshu. Since Kentari aonly interacted with Hoban once and Linae did so twice, she must have been working with him at five o'clock, since she was below deck with Anshu at six o'clock.
Therefore, the only missing interaction was Hoban with Anshu, whch must have occurred at four o'clock on the port side (where Bonju saw Hoban furming but did not interact with him).
The only clue that doesn't add up is Bonju claiming that he spoke to Hoban at five o'clock, which must be a lie.
This now confirms that Bonju never interacted with Hoban until at least six o'clock, with the only places left being the foremast or the cargo crates. This proved to be tricky to figure out unless one was paying close atttention to the art as well. As seen in multiple panels, during the first several hours of the storm, Linae was consistently working on the sails, therefore, in the middle of that time, when Hoban was working with her, they were at the foremast.

This leaves Hoban alone with Bonju at six o'clock by the cargo crates, where he must have been pushed over. Using the graph map, this means that he fell off at the final point, which would be I22.
Though this plot has long been over, Neopia can now rest assured in the knowledge of just how the mystery was solved!
There are a few news released in the Neopet Magazine, Issue #22.

Strange events have been happenign around Neopia lately. neopets have been whispering to each other about a mystical island that none of them have ever seen before, which is filled with strange, mutated creatures. Friendly Guide to Altadorian PetPets
Posted by kreai in From Neopet Magazine, Pets Petpets Petpetpets
These are the petpet that you can find at the Lengendary PetPet Shop.

Alabriss
Generally speaking, an Alabriss isn't large enough to carry more than a few pounds, but it is among the swiftest of Neopia's flying Petpets. While they are often cranky with strangers, Alabrisses tend to be quite war companions for their owners.
Wizard price: 17K np
Vaeolus
The Vaeolus is a fiercely loyal Petpet that does not like being touched by anyone other than its owner. If you're a stranger even an innocent pat on the head can leave you with burns and a bitten finger! Please exercise caution around these Petpets if they are not yours.
Wizard price: 69k np
Hydruplit
This feisty creature has three times as much attitude as most regular Petpets (and gets into three ties the trouble as well!). If you ever feel like your Neopet needs a personal bodyguard, the Hydruplit may be an excellent choice.
Trading price: 130k np
Minitheus
This Petpet's strange and mythical powers have been known to keep many potential owners at bay. Countless rumours circulate about their magical abilities which have led to numerous misunderstandings about what they can or cannot do. One thing's for sure though: they are an incredibly loyal and noble Petpet species and any Neopet should be proud to own one.
Trading price: 1.4 million np
Naalala
These frolicking and carefree Petpets are found all over the flowered hills surrounding Altador. If you try to approach one, it will most likely flee. However, once it is a short distance away, a typical Naalala will be unable to resist turning around and watching you.
Wizard price: 22k np
Altachuck
Altachucks aren't what you would generally regard as brave petpets. In fact, they're scared of just about anything that moves, doesn't move, or starts with the letter "D." No one is exactly sure why. Of course, even if they could speak and tell us why, they would probably be too scared to explain.
Wizard price: 3k np
Hermiteese
Though it lacks the cute and fluffy appeal that many petpets possess, the Hermiteese is an extremely intelligent Petpet that can learn simple tasks with ease. They are always eager to help their owners and are great at fetching items.
Wizard price: 5,750np
Altalaphus
These bread-and-cheese-devouring Petpets are cute, though they tend to lack any true spark of intelligence. They'll happily follow your Neopet anywhere he or she goes. Unfortunately, however, some suspect that's more out of habit than a true sign of loyalty.

Defenders of Neopia - The Ultimate Guide Part 2
Posted by kreai in Defender of Neopia - S1, From Neopet Magazine
Meant to complete this guide but somehow got distracted. Part 1 is here. So here's the final part of this guide.
Mission 8: Meerca Hemchmer
Difficulty Rating: 150
starting Hit Points: 175
Location Hint There is a rumour of a trap door somewhere in the Lost Desert
(Refresh at the Trapped Door page in the Lost Desert until you get it.)
Suggested Minimum Strength: 85
Tip: The Meerca Brothers have some nasty weapons. Although this battle is possible with 55 strength, it requires some very expensive weapons. Decide if you want to continue training or invest hundreds on expensive weapons.
Start this battle much like the others: Freezing the brothers while throwing a Water Muffin and burrowing.
Once they are frozen, hit them with 2 more muffins while using your berserk attack.
During your third turn, use the expensive but amazing Thick Smoke Bomb so you won't incur any damage as you throw one last Water Muffin using berserk attack.
This should stop those Meercas dead in their tracks. If at any point in the battle things go seriously wrong (such as your opponent freezes you for a turn), don't waste your resources! Either allow yourself to lose, or stop and return to the status page to restart the match.

Thick Smoke Bomb - 9,799 NP
Mission 9: Giant Ghostkerchief

Difficulty Rating: 250
starting Hit Points: 250
Location Hint The first day of the Month of Storing is quite an interesting date...
(Find this Challenger visiting the News Page.
Suggested Minimum Strength: 125
Tip: TNT's advise is that this battle is possible to win with 85 strength, but it would require you to invest in very expensive items. So it's recommended to raise your strength to 125 instead. The Giant Ghostkerchief has devastating weapons and the ability to fully heal, so beware.
You can defeat this villian by:
Burrowing, using a 100% freeze item, and hitting him with a Scuzzy's Comb (an endless-use weapon).
With your opponent frozen, hit him with a Water Muffin and a Honey Potion (a once-per-battle item that never breaks) with berserk attack to really knock down his Hit Points.
During your next turn, use a Smoke Bomb to negate damage, while using berserk with another Water Muffin.
Continue to pound at him with a Scuzzy's Comb, while using a Downsize! and/or the Jade Elixir (a single-use item that heals yoru Neopet 100%) until the Giant Ghostkerchief is defeated.

Scuzzy's Comb - 500,000np

Honey Potion - 785,000np

Jade Elixir - 8,400np
Mission 10: Evil Sloth Clone

Difficulty Rating: 85
starting Hit Points: 100
Location Hint Your Neopet will weigh a lot less here
(Get this challenger on the Moon of Kreludor.)
Suggested Minimum Strength: 125
Tip: This opponent is a pushover and can be defeated with a lower strength if your Neopet isn't trained to 125.
All you need are Exploding Snowballs and a couple of Scarab Rings for this battle, so you don't need expensive weapons, either.
Just burrow while using a freezing item and a Scarab Ring, then (if he hasn't frozen you) hit him with 2 snowballs, and finally finish him off with whatever you have left.
A note from TNT : There are multiple Sloth Clones, so you will have to repeat this battle four times. Also, your opponent's Hit Points will increase by approximately 12 points each time you battle, so your final opponent will have about 137 health when the battle begins.
Mission 11: Snow Beast

Difficulty Rating: 300
starting Hit Points: 300
Location Hint Well, this Valley USED to be happy ...
(You can find him at Terror Mountain. Maybe pay a visit to the Advent page and refresh a while there! You may also find him while playing Cliffhanger.)
Suggested Minimum Strength: 125
Tip: This is one vicious opponent who can heal, freeze and completely devastate you with his weapons. Although it is possible to beat himw ith 125 boost, TNT suggest training your Hit Points to 150.
Begin by freezing the Snow Beast and hitting himn with a Water Muffin while using the Faerie Ability "sink".
Once he's frozen, hit the Snow Beast with a Honey Potion and a Water Muffin, and berserk again.
For your final turn, use a Scuzzy's Comb (or other weapon of your choice), your Jade Elixir, and burrow.
Mission 12: Giant Hungry Malevolent Chomby

Difficulty Rating: 350
starting Hit Points: 350
Location Hint Free food in Tyrannia isn't without it's risk...
(Get this Challenger as a Random Event while grabbing yourself an Omelette.)
Suggested Minimum Strength: 200
Tip: You can defeat this beast with 125 strength, but it's will be very easy if your strenth is 200. If you don't feel like training, use techniques similar to those you employed in previous matches and hope for the best.
If you have trained, use that faithful Purple Sticky Hand to try to snatch away the Chomby's Thyora's Tear, while freezing him and using sink.
Hit him with your Honey Potion and Water Muffin with berserk, then berserk again with the Thick Smoke Bomb and Water Muffin.
Finally, berserk a third tiime with the stolen Thyora's Tear and your Scuzzy's comb or other weapon.
If he has any residual Hit Points remaining, use yoru burrow ability with yrou healer and finish him off with the Scuzzy's Comb.

Thyora's Tear - 35 million np
Mission 12: Mootix Warrior

Difficulty Rating: 375
starting Hit Points: 375
Location Hint He's already on your list of challengers.
Suggested Minimum Strength: 200
Tip: This battle plays out much like the previous one if you have 200 strength. If you don't, though, there are some clever ways to defeat this opponent...
Repeat the steps from the last battle but instead of the Thyora's Tear, use a healer and finish him off with a Scuzzy's Comb or any other weapon while burrowing.
If he's still causing trouble, have fun with those Ice Dice that your Sticky Hand stole from Him.

Ice Dice
Mission 13: Kastraliss

Difficulty Rating: 400
starting Hit Points: 400
Location Hint It's all in the name ...
(Look up Kastraliss on the yellow search bar and refresh at the user lookup or the pet lookup. There is one here!)
Suggested Minimum Strength: 200
Tip: Your Sticky Hand is no longer good enough for this battle, and you'll need to be especially careful, because Kastraliss can both freeze and heal.
Freeze, use your constant weapon (your endless-use item, like the Scuzzy's Comb), and sink until you are able to freeze him without him also freezing you the first turn.
hit him with the Honey Potion and Water Muffin with berserk, then use your Smoke Bomb and berserk with another Water Muffin.
If he's still up, heal yourself, hit him with your strongest weapon, and burrow.
Mission 14: Slug Monster

Difficulty Rating: 500
starting Hit Points: 500
Location Hint Supposedly he likes "slug flakes" on his food ...
(Refresh at the Slug Monster Go Away page in the Maraquan Ruins with Slug Flakes in your inventory. Note* This challenger can poison your pet!)
Suggested Minimum Strength: 200
Tip: It is recommended that you trained your Hit Points to 225.
This opponent can heal and freeze. This battle will play out much like the one before, so use the same method, and don't bother using a Sticky Hand.
Equip another weapon instead.
If you have him down to his last few Hit Points and are left with just your constant weapon, be sure to defend to reduce your damage.
Mission 15: The Drenched

Difficulty Rating: 600
starting Hit Points: 600
Location Hint They are fun to fight if you need something to do on a rainy day...
Suggested Minimum Strength: 250
Tip: These villains heal often, so you may want to up your strength to 250 or invest in more powerful weapons. Even at 250 strength, this battle can still be difficult.
First, these evil ladies can reflect water attacks and like to use those ever-so-helpful Water Muffins... Against you!
Equip that handy little Leaf Shield you used way back in your early battles to protect your Neopet. Stone Muffins are also suggested, if you haven't use them already. It might be wise to invest in a Sword of Apocalypse or another item that can do more damage. Continue to play out the battle as previously described.
Mission 16: Qasalan Mummy

Difficulty Rating: 550
starting Hit Points: 550
Location Hint Qasala has quite an interesting tale. Perhaps you should read up on it.
(Visit Maraqua on a rainy day and refresh the weather page.)
Suggested Minimum Strength: 250
Tip: Radioactive Muffins are recommended for this battle.
Use your constant weapon (like the Sword of Apocalypse), a Radioactive Muffin, and the Faerie Ability known as "drain life."
Then, use another muffin, freeze, and burrow.
Next, using berserk, hit the Mummy with a Honey Potion and your last muffin.
Finally, use your Smoke Bomb, berserk, and your constant weapon to try to finish him off. If he's still up, heal and do your best to rid him of the last of his Hit Points with your constant weapon.

Sword of Apocalypse - 1.5 million np
One last very important tip. After a battle, be sure to visit Defenders Headquarters and claim your prize. If you do not and just go on to the next challenger, the Defenders of Neopia will not give you credit for your victory! And you have to re-fight them again.
Defenders of Neopia - The Ultimate Guide Part 1
Posted by kreai in Defender of Neopia - S1, From Neopet Magazine
Yes, I subscribe to the Neopet Magazine. And in this month's issue, there is an article that I think is useful for all. Defenders of Neopia - The ultimate Guide.
So continuing from here, I will reveal details on how to defeat every villain from the 1st series of Defender of Neopia. Source: Neopet Magazine. Issue #18, Vol. 4
Mission 1: Pant Devil
Difficulty Rating: 21
Starting Hit Point: 22
Location Hint: You never know when or where he may strike ...
(for this, you just need to have him strike at you. So go around the site or refresh like crazy anywhere. When he appears and steal something from you, you will get him)
Suggested Minimum Strength: 8
Tips: Purchase 2 scarab Rings, which are amazing weapons for their price, since they both attack and defend. You'll easily win the battle with just these items!
Scarab Ring - 2,000np
Mission 2: Ghost Lupe
Difficulty Rating: 32
starting Hit Points: 32
Location Hint Pay close attention to that first comic panel ...
(Go HERE and refresh.)
Suggested Minimum Strength: 13, though it's possible with 8
Tip: Beware of the Icy Snowballs!
Invest in a Leaf Shield to defend yourself. Though it will be tough, but his battle can be won with only 8 strength. TNT suggest training up to 13 strength.
Equip yourself with a leaf Shield, a healing item (such as the Bronze Scorchstone, which is more expensive but never breaks, or a Lesser Healing Scroll, which is cheaper but only lasts a while), and a Purple Sticky Hand.
Also, keep a Scarab Ring equipped, just in case you run out of snowballs.
Fill the remaining slots with Exploding Snowballs.
Use the Leaf Shield to protect against the Ghost Lupe's Icy Snowballs, while using the Purple Sticky Hand to grab his Grand Lightning Beam.
Continue using the Leaf Shield and pelting him with snowballs, heal when necessary.

Leaf Shield - 9,000np

Bronze Scorchstone - 40,000np

Lesser Healing Scroll - 4,000np

Icy Snowball - 120np
Mission 3: Cave Chia

Difficulty Rating: 58
starting Hit Points: 61
Location Hint He likes to doodle on cave walls ...
(Refresh HERE.)
Suggested Minimum Strength: 13
Tip: It's recommended that you increase your Hit Points to at least 16, just to be on the safe side.
It also recommended that you add an Ice Mote to your arsenal.
Begin with 2 Scarab Rings, a Leaf Shield, a Purple Sticky Hand, and 2 Exploding Snowballs.
First, grab his Blue Frost Cannon with your Sticky Hand, so he can't freeze you.
Then, use a Scarab Ring and the Ice Mode to attempt to freeze him. Once he is frozen, slam him with 2 Exploding Snowballs on fierce attack, then finish him off with the dual Scarab Rings.

Purple Sticky Hand - 2,000np

Exploding Snowballs - 350np
Mission 4: Meuka

Difficulty Rating: 60
starting Hit Points: 75
Location Hint Generally found around fellow snot. Ugh, is your Neopet sick?
(Your pet must catch Sneezles or NeoFlu and then you must refresh here. You can get the sickness from The Wheel of Excitment.
Suggested Minimum Strength: 35
Tip: This is anasty opponent. Before you begin, make sure your neopet is at least level 10, and give him or her four bottled earth faeries, which will grant your Neopet the "burrow" ability.
Please note that you must activate abilities on your Neopet's Quick Ref Page.
Your pet should have at least 25 hit points.
Also invest in a Downsize!
Meuka's Radioactive Muffin and Snot Gloves attacks are absolutely devastating.
Burrowing will hopefully prevent this combo from taking you out, but you'll need a little luck.
Start the battle by burrowing and throwing two Snow Mudballs at Meuka.
Some suggest water Muffins, but those are much more expensive.
Next, use your Downsize! While throwing another Snow Mudball.
Then, if needed, use a Lesser Healing Scroll and Scarab Ring.
Continue fighting defensively with the Scarab Rings until meuka is down.

Bottled Earth Faerie - 5,500np

Downsize! - 8,000np

Snow Mudball - 1,000np
Mission 5: Brain Tree

Difficulty Rating: 91
starting Hit Points: 105
Location Hint he's pretty hard to miss ... That big tree in the haunted Woods? Why don't you do him a favor?
(Complete a Brain Tree quest here!
To get the answer to Brain Tree's question, you need to complete 2 of The Esophagor's quest.
Suggested Minimum Strength: 35
Tip: The Brain Tree is an easier opponent compared to Meuka, but he has the ability to heal, which makes this battle challenging.
When planning your strategy, you should go in very strong on offense.
If possible, invest in an item that freeze 100% of the time, instead of depending on unreliable items like Snowglobe Staffs and Ice Motes.
You can buy a Scroll of Freezing, but this is a breakable item and may only last a few battles or only one.
When the fight starts, defensively throw a Fire Muffin while using your freezing item.
Once the Brain Tree is frozen, fierce attack it with 2 more Fire Muffins.
On your final turn, unleash your last 2 muffins while burrowing, and hopefully that know-it-all tree will go down!

Scroll of Freezing - 77,000np

Fire Muffin - 2,000np
Mission 6: Commander Garoo

Difficulty Rating: 120
starting Hit Points: 120
Location Hint He's the stationary type who enjoys outer space.
(Refresh HERE. It's random. It may take a while, it may take a few click. It took me 2 weeks to get him.)
Suggested Minimum Strength: 55
Tip: You need to train to 55 strength and about 50 Hit Points to consider battling this Blumaroo.
You will also need to upgrade your healing item.
A Greater Healing Scroll should do the job.
Begin the battle by burrowing while unleashing a Fire (or Water) Muffin and your freezing item.
With the commander frozen, send 2 more muffins his way with fierce attack (or berserk, if your neopet is level 50 or higher).
Use another muffin and your healer, regardless of how many Hit Points you have left.
If he does manage to pull through, use a Scarab Ring or another stronger weapon to finish him off while using your Downsize! It will be close, but you should make it, especially if you've trained to 50 and have berserk attack.

Greater Healing Scroll - 36,000np

Water Muffin - 13,000np
Mission 7: Tekkitu The Witch

Difficulty Rating: 120
Starting Hit Points: 150
Location Hint Mystery Island is a great place to tour, you know.
(Let one of your pets take the Tiki Tour here!
Suggested Minimum Strength: 55
Tip: This battle is exactly like the battle with Commander Garoo.
Leveling to 50 is highly recommended so that you can use berserk attack and deal more damage when he's frozen.
The only difference TNT suggest is using the more expensive Water Muffins because Tekkitu can blocks quite a few of the Fire Muffins.
TNT recommended that you level up to 30 so you can give your neopet 8 bottled dark faeries to gain the 'sink' ability.

Water Muffin - 13,000np

Bottled Dark Faerie - 6,000np
(Update: I have since done individual post on each mission with screenie from my fight. Instead I will do individual post for each challenger. Please see post in the Defender of Neopia - Series 1 category.)

Neopet is so boring these days.
There isn't much to do anymore.
So this blog won't be update until there are special events happening in Neopets. Like plot, competition etc.
