Journey to the Lost Isle - Prizes

Posted by kreai in

Yap, you can collect your prizes now.

But what about the trophy? How come no trophy? Or is it just me? Because I didn't finish the last 2 days of this plot. What about you (who completed the plot)? Can you let me know if you got trophy? Thanks.

If you are curious about the solution, go to the Solution Page.

To collect your prize, go to Journey To The Lost Isle Prize Shop

You stand before a stately wooden door and knock politely on its polished exterior. A voice calls for you to come in, and you gently push it open. Professor Hugo Fairweather sits in his office, surrounded by innumerable piles of old books. There is the musty smell of old parchment, and dust clouds stir lightly around the room. "Ahh, welcome," the Professor says genially, looking up from where he has been writing into a notebook."You must be here for the prizes! Just give me a moment here..."

Professor Fairweather rummages through some of the books on his desks and pulls one out. He flips through several pages and scans the list of names written in there. "According to this, you have xxxx points left to spend. Enjoy looking around!"

You can go HERE to see the Prize.

Update #1:

Mystery on the trophy solved.
You have to make a purchase to get the trophy. I don't know if it's the slow loading of the page that I don't get that Something Has Happened message. But when I check my userlookup, the trophy is there. I can't decide what to buy yet. So I just spent 25pts buying that keychain first.

Lost Isle Plot

Posted by kreai in

According to TNT in today's Neopian's Time, Issue: #296:

As for the Lost Isle plot, it is over. Well, it was quite open-ended, wasn't it? There was also that suspicious question mark after "The End." Curious. But no, it's over and prizes will be coming shortly. (The lad who worked on the code has been stolen away, unfortunately. The minute he's given back to us, he'll finish the prize shop! Hopefully this will happen in the next couple of weeks.)

Sigh...

Oh well!!!

Journey to the Lost Isle - Ch 6 & 7

Posted by kreai in

Oh well, I was hoping that I won't miss too much. Boy was I wrong. For those who had done it, you should have found a shell in your inventory when you went back to the ship.

You should have use the shell on the ship to get ready to set sail.

But before you leave, you will have to try to defeat the giant petpetpets.

Is it the end? I don't think so.

I am sure there will be more or else it would be too depressing. I am sure after the Altador Cup is over (which would be in a month time), they will be back to the island. LOL.

Journey to the Lost Isle - Ch 5 - Repairing Boat

Posted by kreai in

After you have gotten all your items, head over to the Ship.

Now you have to repair the Ship. You have to try to find which item to use first. This is mine. I am sure it will be the same for most people.

1. Click on the Vine - You have secure the ship.

2. Drop the plank at the side of the boat.

3. You dropped the thorns next to the plank.

4. You nailed the plank onto the ship.

You do this with that screwdriver/hammer looking item. (that items next to the vine in the 2nd picture below.)

5. With the bucket, you get the water out of the ship.

I am stuck. So I am going back to the path to find something else.

Will update later.

Update #1:
I went back to the path and found a branch. That's my missing item.

It's stuck. So I used the jawbone to cut it. Just go to your inventory, click on the jawbone and click on the branch.

So back to the ship. But first, you must find your way through those maze. This remind me of ToW!!!

6. Click the branch and it says you have move the ship into place.

7. Give it the Motor and you have replace the steam vent of the ship.

8. Give it the Wheel and you have replace the wheel of the ship.

It feels so undone. Wonder if there are more steps to do. So far, that's what everyone who has "complete" is at. Will update once I found out more.

9 Items you need:

And the branch which I forgot to take a screen shot. Sigh...

Go to Chapter 5 Comic.
On the last page of chapter 5, put your cursor where the red circle is and it will turn into a hand. Click on it and it will bring you to the Mysterious Island.

Mysterious Island

You stand before the winding twists and turns of the jungle, take a deep breath, then plunge into the dimly-lighted space, covered as it is by the thick foliage. There are makeshift tools and items here that can help you fix the ship, and you're determined to find them.

Click on the paths to go in a certain direction, and click on items to pick them up. Check your inventory to see what items have been picked up already.

Before you go to the path, you must get the Jaw Bone first.
How do you get the Jawbone?

Highlight the text above the map page - which is where the Journal is (all those text inside the red box I highlighted) and hit TAB on your keyboard and hit ENTER. (I wanted to give credit to the person who posted this on the Board, but I can't remember who it was because I was too excited. Sorry about that)

{{Thanks Pebbles for highlighting that I forgot this important step "ENTER".}}

If this doesn't work, do this:
1. Go to the MAP page.
2. Click on the MAP.
3. Highlight the dots at the end of the text.
4. Hit Tab and Enter.
This should bring you to the POP up page.

A pop-up window will appear and you see this:

If you don't get the pop up, what you do is go through the map very slowly until your cursor turns into a hand. Click it and you will get to that pop up page with the jawbone.

Good Luck.

Now you have to go find items to repair the boat.

What do we have to do?
Click on the arrow at the bottom, it will show you your inventory:

Click on the boat:

Click at the red circle, it lead you to a path.

Decision, Decision:

Doing the search now. Will update when I have more.

Update #1:
This is what I have found.

Tip: Just click and click and click. I have been to the same path and found nothing, but after several clicks, I found an item where I have been but didn't see it there previously.

Update:
If you can't get the Hammer, complete the Code Game.

If you can't get the thorns, read chapter 4 of the comic.

Journey to the Lost Isle - Journal Page 26

Murphy's Journal, Page 26

My only hope now is to get off this island, this nightmare. I have found some solace in my new found determination, and my fear now acts as a powerful motivator instead of a crippling sickness, but dread nevertheless weighs heavily upon my heart. I do not ... I cannot remember my home anymore, so long have I been away. No longer do I see it in my dreams. All that remains in my vision is unending jungle and the million eyes of bloodthirsty creatures.

In my explorations, I have found some sturdy mood and strong vines that could prove beneficial in my attempts to build a raft. I have already begun some rudimentary construction on such a craft; whether or not it could bear me back home remains to be seen, but it is better to hope than to despair. As long as the raft proves seaworthy, I will take my chances on the open ocean.

I fear I am going mad. Even now, I feel as though I am being watched. Though I am exhausted, i cannot sleep, in case some creature pounces on me during the night, and when I do slip into a fitful doze, my dreams are filled with soulless eyes and gaping jaws, full of jagged teeth. Who can discern what is real and what is only my imagination?

Journey to the Lost Isle - Ch 5 - Comic

Chapter 5 is released today.

What happened?

Roxton managed to trick the Monstrous Moach to chase after them and when it got onto those vine's bridge, Roxton cut the vine and he fell into the never..never.. land. LOL.

As they wander around, they found this:

Meanwhile, the professor made his way back to the beach where the Captain was. And the Captain told him something:

Now what is that?

Hmm... Let's see where this adventure is taking us next.

One more time.
His HP is 122, Mine 110

It's a draw!!!!

Off to get a bottle of Bubbling Healing Goo. This Goo will heal your pet 100%.

Gosh!!! The price has gone up. It's 200np per bottle now. Just yesterday, I could get one at 99np from the Wizard.

Advise to Attack the New Bug

Posted by kreai in

Some of the advise from the BOARD:

1. Scarab Ring, Patched Magic Hat, Downsize and Greater Healing Scroll

2. The abilities Drain Life and Regeneration. Regeneration restores 33% of your lost HP, so when your high-HP pet is down to like 2, it might save your battle.

3. Used the following items: 4 shooting star muffins, a leaf shield, and a blue scorchstone and the faerie abilities of burrow, heal, and mote dance.

4. Buy the following:
sticky snowball (around 300np)
snow mudball
fire muffin
stone muffin
radioactive muffin
shooting star muffin (around 3500np)

Another way would be to use one of the cheap frost cannons to try and get a first round freeze (while defending and using a shield, then going all out the following round if you get the freeze (and are still alive).

Will update when I read up more. LOL. I want to go and fight him more.

Update #1:
I have beaten him 6 times and his HP is 114.

From 75 to 82 to 90 to 98 aot 106 to 114. Every win over him has his HP increased by 8 points.
The last round was tough for me. I need to use the downsize to win. Good thing I have regeneration.

I use Burrow, then Sink, then Berserk, then Drain Life, then Berserk. In between I use Regeneration.

I don't know whether I should fight him the 7th time or not. LOL!!!

Update #2:
Okay, while checking through the Board, someone advise using Extra Evil Snowball.

So I bought 2 Extra Evil Snowballs.
With 2 Extra Evil Snowballs, 2 Scarab Rings, 1 Downsize! 1 Leaf Shield, With the abilites of Burrow, Sink, Drain Life, Regeneration and Berserk Attack, I managed to win it 2 more times.

This is what I do:
Round #1: 1 Scarab Ring, 1 Extra Evil Snowball, Burrow
Round #2: 2 Scarab Ring, Sink
Round #3: 2 Scarab Ring, 1 Extra Evil Snowball, Drain Life
Round #4: 1 Scarab Ring, 1 Donsize, Berserk Attack or Regeneration
Round #5: 2 Scarab Ring, Berserk Attack of Regneration

This should win the battle.

And the best thing is Extra Evil Snowball is cheap. Only 250-300np.

Silly me! I should have equip more extra evil snowballs. 4 will be good.

Journey to the Lost Isle - Ch 4 - Battle

Posted by kreai in

Okay. There is a new monster found at the Battledome.

The Monstrous Moach whose HP is 75.

This Moach has Berserk, that means he can hit you really hard. One battle, he took 41HP off me. Ouch!!! So having a Leaf Sheild could help.

He also has the ability to heal.

Sink and Burrow will be an important abilities to have due to his range of attacks.

Now, go and beat him as many times as you can. He will gain HP every time you beat him so he will get more and more difficult.

I am using 2 Scarab Rings, Burrow, Sink, Drain Life and Berserk Attack.

This is how I beat him:

Round #1:
Burrow with 2 Scarab Rings

I took 39HP off him.

Round #2:

He took 19HP off me.
I took another 33HP off him

Round #3:
I should win in round 3. BUT!!!!
He can heal.

Round #4:
So I went 1 more round of Berserk Attack with 2 Scarab Rings. That still didn't finished him off.

Round #5:

So 1 more round.

That was close. Very close.

Win:
