Tuskaninny Day - July 12th

As of November 2006. Tuskaninny is the 38th most popular with over 1.5 million living in Neopia.

Tuskaninnies look like walruses. Despite their names, they usually have no tusks (the Tyrannian Tuskaninny and the Mutant Tuskaninny are exceptions). The reason for this misnomer is because they were named by a Neopets user in a competition and not by the Neopets team itself. They are often found in the water or lounging in the sun and are generally friendly, although they can become fierce fighters.

In the Neopets TCG, Tuskaninnies are associated with the element of water.

Famous Tuskaninnies in Neopia Include:

* Colin

Star of the Hangman-like game Cliffhanger. He lives on Terror Mountain

* Little Timmy

He is one of the Cheat! opponent #2. Timmy is very young and inexperienced. He started playing cheat as he thought it would make him look cool... however he is pretty useless at it, to be honest. He is very easy to beat.

* Lummock Sendent

Lummock is a minor collector and amateur weaponsmith, who will provide you with a basic weapon if you can bring him the correct items. He will sell you basic magic wands in Neoquest I, (the ones you start out with).

* Senator Palpus

He was one of the greatest generals of the Sakhmet defence force before he retired many years ago. Now the great general is one of Sakhmet's most popular senators. Since his retirement, the general's belly has continued to expand, which is probably why he quit the army so many years ago.

As a senator, Palpus was one of the few if not the only person to see opening Sakhmet to the rest of Neopia would be profitable. However, though he received many medals and rewards from military service an political service most chose to ignore his ideas. Ultimately, Senator Palpus is known for putting principal before politics. Thanks to this policy Palpus has earned the respect, admiration and affection of not just Sakhmetian voters but also of Senator Barca.

* Tico Tems

He was the Right Forward on the Terror Mountain team in the 2006 Altador Cup 2-006. Tico, like most of his Terror Mountain teammates, is a highly skilled player. However, it seems like he's always sitting out games due to some malady or another. As a result, his backup (the considerably less-talented Vaydo Pohz) spends almost as much time playing as he does.
