Pet - Kau

Kau Day - June 19th

As of October 2006, the Kau ranked 21st. Over 3.8 million can be found in Neopia.

Originally, the pet now known as the Kau was named Macy Gray and was designed to look like the singer carrying a ray gun. It was one of the original pets on the site. Whatever the reason was, it was changed to the present Kau on July 26, 2000.

The Kaus' milk has restorative powers. Gentle and peace loving, Kaus love large green pastures on which it can feed itself. In battle, the Kaus focus is more defensive than offensive, but that doesn't mean it can't still pack a punch. Its horns are good enough to teach those foolish enough to annoy it a lesson they won't forget. Kaus are natural mothers, and should anyone choose to search for one to befriend, look no further than a hospital or community orientated project. Also extremely intelligent, Kaus are known for their magical potion-making ingenuity.

In the Neopets TCG, Kaus are associated with the element of Earth.

Famous Kaus include:

* Kauvara
Kauvara is a Starry Kau who sells magical potions in the Neopian Magic Shop.

* The Fortune-Teller

From the Lost Desert Plot.

* Kalora

Kalora is an opponent in Cheat!. She is rude, lazy, and has a horrible fashion sense. She loves to travel and plays Cheat! for extra money.

Leera Heggle

Leera Heggle is one of the players for 2006's Altador Cup, and a Goalkeeper for Lost Desert. While some feel that his days as an All-Star are behind him, this tireless competitor is still the first to arrive for practice and the last to leave. He would love nothing more than to win a title and prove to his doubters that he's still got plenty of Yooyuball left to play.
